Laurel R. Zaeske, a member of the Firm, graduated from the University of Colorado in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Ms. Zaeske received her Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California Law Center in 1988.

Ms. Zaeske serves as a Director of the California Bankruptcy Forum, and has twice been chosen to Chair its annual conference and its Website Committee. Ms. Zaeske has served as Section Chair of the Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section of the Orange County Bar Association and is a Director and former Treasurer of the Orange County Bankruptcy Forum. Ms. Zaeske is a member of the American Inns of Court, the Association of Insolvency Accountants, the California Society of CPA's, the Federal Bar Association, and the Association of Business Trial Lawyers.

She has been licensed as a Certified Public Accountant since 1987 in California. She formerly practiced as a CPA for the National Accounting firms of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. and Arthur Andersen & Co. and served as an instructor in Management Accounting in the University of Southern California MBA and undergraduate programs.

In 1995 she was appointed to the United States Bankruptcy Court's Bankruptcy Mediation Panel for the Central District of California. Ms. Zaeske is a frequent speaker on trial preparation and strategy, mediation and substantive areas of commercial law and bankruptcy practice. Ms. Zaeske was elected Chairman of the Board of the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce for 2008-2009.
